Primer is available in a range of basic shades most frequently employed to prepare the surface of the model or miniature before starting the painting process. Primers can be applied on all surfaces, resin, PVC, brass, white metal or wood. The primer preserving even the smallest detail of a model, and improves the adherence of the colors applied on this base. It is recommended to apply the Primer in various layers; the product dries rapidly and forms a homogenous film of extraordinary strength and resistance within a few hours after application. Primers can be used directly or diluted with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner of Flow Improver. The recommended compressor settings are around 15-20 PSI or 0.5 to 1 kg. For best maintenance of the airbrush, it is recommended to use the Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner.
Safety: Non-flammable, and does not contain solvents.
Packaging: Presented in bottles of 200 ml/6.76 fl oz with fliptop cap and dropper. This packaging prevents the paint from evaporating and drying in the container, so that it can be used in minimal quantities and preserved for a long time.
DANGER: Wear eye protection / face protection as required. Use in well ventilated area. Keep tightly closed. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
Quality Vallejo acrylic primer. The white is a pleasant cold variety (no yellowing) and the covering is, as expected, good - though it requires a few light coats to avoid smothering finer details. The finish is a very smooth matt. Highly recommended for the few occasions a white primer is needed. Good pricing and great service from HobbyMad too!

Disappointingly, I did not find the above surface primer good on brass by any means.I am building a 125cm (1:200 Scale) Amati model of the Bismarck which has a very extensive amount of brass components. I conducted a test on brass with the Vallego primer and also Revell Aqua Colour Basic and found the Revell Basic to be, without question, far superior. The adhesion was brilliant. In view of the above results I will have to scrap the Villego primer in favour of the Revell Basic.Yours.Tom Connolly.
